Fall Fun 2016

Fall is in the air, and the leaves are changing to their beautiful fall colours! balafant is looking forward to all the fun things the fall season has to offer! As sad as it is to see the summer go the autumn brings in all sorts of different and fun activities to do with your children that they will love, and we all know when autumn rolls around it means Halloween is coming which is something kids wait all year for! Here are some fun things we suggest that we think you and your little ones will love.

Chudleigh’s Farm: 9548 Hwy 25, Halton Hills

Chudleigh’s has been a family favourite since 1967. Chuddleigh’s offers apple picking until the end of October and has a verity of different types of apples for you to pick from! It is open every day between 10am-5pm until October 31st.  The farm also has activities special for your little ones which includes animal feeding, playground areas, mazes, Wagon and tractor rides, nature trials and pony rides!

Downey’s Farm Market Pumpkin Fest: 12683 Heart Lake Road, North of Brampton, Ontario

Every year Downey’s Farm has a pumpkin fest from September 24th– October 31st. The Pumpkin Fest includes unlimited wagon rides, corn maze, boo barn, farm animals, live entertainment, puppet shoes, slides, face painting, make your own scarecrows, pony rides etc, and of course a pumpkin patch with thousands of pumpkins to pick from!

Markham Fair: 108 McCowan Road, Markham

The Markham fair is an annual fall fair hosted by the Markham and East York Agricultural society and is one of Canada’s oldest country fairs since 1844. This year it will run on September 29th and 30th and October 1st and 2nd. The Markham Fair provides a families and children with plenty of fun events, activities, and other fun things to do and explore. There is a Children’s pet show, horse shows, rodeo, dance shows, live music, jugglers, magicians, a farm where children can see animals close up, plenty rides, and lots of yummy food!

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair: The Canadian National Exhibition Place, 100 Princes’ Blvd, Toronto

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair takes place every November in Toronto, this year it will take place from November 4th -13th . This fair is the largest combined indoor agricultural fair and international equestrian competition in the world! You and your little ones will be able to see all types of farms animals up close and even touch and feed some, as well as see live horse shows and even try some local foods!
