March Break in the City
Is it just us or did this Winter just fly by? We can’t believe that it’s March in a weeks time and March Break is just around the corner! Whether you are visiting the city, or decided not to register for a week-long program, here is a list of Drop-in programs available the week of March 12-20th (click on the names to get their websites for more information):
Lego Discovery

Toronto Public Libraries
Libraries around the city host a number of different free activities, including Bingo, crafts, Lego, science experiments, magic shows, puppet shows, reptile shows, and sing-alongs.

Is your little one into arts? Let their creative side come out with a series of activities that lets them create masterpieces.

BATA
Shake off those winter blues!! The Bata Shoe Museum is hosting a beach party!
Decorate your own visors, add to their community puzzle, play games in the gallery and much more. All activities are drop in and run each day from 10am-4pm, Sundays 12-4pm.
Price: $8/child (2-12 years), $8 for each adult.

Munsch Mash
Happening from Feb 13th-March 20th, Robert Munsch’s classic stories are brought to stage. We love that the play will also feature interactive elements for children to take part in.

TIFF Kids Classics
For when you are in the neighbourhood- enjoy one of the classics while staying warm and cozy in-doors.

jik jik – Spring Equinox festival
The festival celebrates the start of Spring. Family-friendly with all kinds of activities for kids, the festival will also feature art installations by local and renowned artists, a boutique spring market for your celebration needs, and feasts of fresh food and drinks.
Price: $10 for adults, children are free

Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival
The Maple Syrup Festival at Kortright Centre for Conservation, Terra Cotta Conservation Area, and Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area features demonstrations, wagon rides, kids entertainment, family-friendly crafts, maple syrup samples and pancake breakfast.
We hope the list gives you some ideas that are a tad different and all the more, entertaining.
And of course, don’t forget the all-time favourites; skating, movies, and baking cookies!
